Why should I use magnesium?

Magnesium is an essential mineral that every cell in your body needs to function properly. That’s right, every single cell! Having proper levels of magnesium is critical to everyone’s wellbeing. How much topical magnesium should I use?

We recommend spraying magnesium oil directly onto skin 5-10 times per application for new users. Regular and consistent users can spray 10-15 times or more per application. We recommend consistent use of magnesium oil over an extended period of time for best results. 10 sprays contain 220 mg of pure elemental magnesium. When and where should I apply topical magnesium?

We recommend one to two applications of our magnesium oil per day on the chest, back, feet or legs for general absorption. Timing of the application really depends on what works best for you. For use as a sleep aid, application before bed is best. If you have specific aches and pains (like sore knees after a run) you can apply the oil directly to the area you want to treat. You can also enjoy a daily magnesium bath or foot soak. In general, we recommend avoiding sensitive areas like eyes, mouth, genitals or open wounds. Just make sure to allow at least 15 minutes for absorption before you shower, swim, or wipe it off.

Mild itchiness is common and is temporary, harmless, and usually decreases with consistent use over time. To prevent any discomfort, you can dilute the spray 1:1 with water, or you can mix it with the moisturizer of your choice during application. Also, since the magnesium oil is rapidly absorbed through the skin, it is perfectly fine to wash the oil off your skin after 15 minutes and apply a moisturizer.

Can I use the product if I have sensitive skin?

Topical magnesium is generally well tolerated, but as with any new product we recommend using our products on a small patch of skin to test your reaction before you use it all over. If it feels itchy, try diluting with water or applying with a moisturizer to help it be gentler on your skin.
