You’ve got to feel a little sorry for our immune systems… they’re constantly working, day in and day out to stave off illness, and they don’t get enough recognition for it.
You don’t usually find people walking around talking about how thankful they are for their healthy immune system. But when our immune system gets overburdened, and we get sick, we’re awfully quick to point the blame.
So let’s get this out of the way first…
There is no magical cure that will grant you a bullet-proof immune system.
A healthy immune system is the result of a balanced, holistic approach to health. Strong immune systems come from eating high-quality food, exercising regularly, getting adequate sleep and fueling your body with helpful supplements. (1)
As you can imagine, battling every bacterial bug and virus that we encounter is a pretty exhausting job. That’s why supporting our immune system is crucial. We need it to be in tip top shape, otherwise, we’ll constantly be ill.
A variety of factors can weaken the immune system. For example, long term deficiency in essential vitamins and minerals can impair the body’s ability to fight infection and disease, it’s one of the bases you want to be sure to cover.
We’ve written another post explaining that 80% of people are deficient in magnesium. This becomes a startling number when you realize that it is one of the essential minerals that can impact the immune system.
Magnesium plays a role in immune support in a variety of ways, and adequate levels of magnesium chloride (the primary ingredient in our magnesium oil), stimulate immune function. (2) Magnesium has a role in reducing oxidative stress, and has been shown to have a “strong influence on both nonspecific and specific immune responses.” (3)
Fortunately, supplementing with a high quality magnesium can help replenish and boost your body’s defense system. (4)
It’s beneficial to support your immune system when you’re healthy, rather than waiting until you’re under the weather to play catch up (you know those times that you desperately take vitamin C hoping that it will erase whatever illness is brewing?)
Incorporating magnesium oil into your daily routine can help you from getting sick in the first place! It’s a simple way to boost your overall magnesium levels to ensure that your immune system is supported on a regular basis.
